But Sheinelle—mom to son Kayin, 16, and twins Clara and Uche, 13 with Uche—wasn’t the only one who was grateful she had returned. Indeed, Savannah encouraged her friend with a touching welcome, saying that Studio 1A was better now that she was back.
“I hope you felt how missed you were,” the Today coanchor said. “You wanted to be there for every moment—the painful moments and the beautiful moments—and you were, but you were so, so missed. It is just not the same without you, Sheinelle.”
Savannah added, “You’re the heartbeat here, and we’re so happy that you’re home.”
