Doctor Sleep was first rumored to be a remake of The Shining. Now, we know the film is actually a sequel to The Shining. The movie is set to be released November 8th, 2019; however, Fandango early access is showing the film in 400 theaters on October 30th, 2019.
The film was directed by Mike Flanagan who also wrote the screenplay based on Stephen King’s novel. The movie stars Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, and Jacob Tremblay.
Doctor Sleep is Rated R by the MPAA. The film has a long runtime of 151 minutes which is longer than the 146 minute original cut of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining.
