Beyonce Lands 4 Top 10s on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart – Billboard

Beyoncé banks four top 10s on Billboard’s multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart dated Aug. 13, including three that debut in the region: “Summer Renaissance” (No. 3), “Thique” (No. 4) and “Pure/Honey” (No. 6). Meanwhile, “Break My Soul” spends a sixth week at No. 1, with all songs from the superstar’s new album Renaissance, which soars in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

With her four Hot Dance/Electronic Songs top 10s (encompassing her career total), Beyoncé claims the second-most among all acts in 2022, after Drake’s eight. She’s also just the fifth artist with as many as four simultaneous top 10s since the chart launched in 2013, joining Drake (a weekly record eight), Lady Gaga (five) and The Chainsmokers and Marshmello (four each).

“Summer Renaissance” leads Beyoncé’s arrivals with 9.4 million official U.S. streams and 3,000 downloads sold in the July 29-Aug. 4 tracking week, according to Luminate. The song truly makes for a Summer renaissance, as it incorporates elements of Donna Summer’s enduring disco classic “I Feel Love,” which hit No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 9 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 1977, respectively.

Concurrently, “Summer” starts on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs (No. 2) and Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales (No. 4).

“Thique” earned 8.7 million streams and sold 1,100, figures also good for top 10 starts on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs (No. 3) and Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales (No. 7). Plus, “Pure/Honey” drew 7.9 million streams and sold 1,400, as it opens on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs (No. 4) and Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales (No. 6).

Meanwhile, “Break My Soul” continues atop Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with a sweep of the chart’s top Airplay, Streaming and Sales Gainer honors, with 61.7 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 8%), 18.9 million streams (up 114%) and 13,000 sold (up 113%). “Soul” also paces Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales (for a seventh week), Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs (sixth) and Dance/Mix Show Airplay (second).

Benassi, Englund Enter Top 10

Elsewhere on Billboard’s dance charts, Benny Benassi brings in his fourth Dance/Mix Show Airplay top 10 and Anabel Englund notches her seventh with “Lightwaves” (14-8). The track is collecting core-dance airplay on Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, iHeartRadio’s Evolution Network and KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco, among others. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on around 70 top 40-formatted reporters.)
