Kim Kardashian and La La Anthony had two TV projects in development at Hulu, and now, we got an update on the status of them.
What do we know about the TV shows in development from Kim Kardashian and La La Anthony?
According to a new report from Variety, Hulu has opted not to pick up the pilot for Group Chat, a comedy show that was inspired by Anthony’s book The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness. That series hailed from writer Kenya Barris, with Kardashian attached to the project as an executive producer.
The project was originally in development since 2024, and would’ve saw Anthony star in the series, with Kardashian guest starring and serving as a narrator. The cast of the show also would’ve included Yaya DaCosta, Melanie Liburd, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and Stephanie Suganami.
Despite one pilot not working, Kardashian and Anthony will continue to work with Hulu. Variety also reports that the pair are both attached as executive producers on a currently untitled Tracy Oliver comedy series that’s also in development at the streamer. The show follows “the Bay Area’s most sought-after crisis manager for professional athletes,” who “finds her own life upended by her husband’s scandal, she turns to the three women who’ve been by her side through every version of her life. Together they navigate dating, ambition, motherhood, and the glamorous mess of starting over,” according to its logline.
Oliver is best known for writing the 2017 comedy hit Girls Trip. As for Kardashian, she still has a first-look deal with 20th Television, but it’s unclear what’s next for her in the world of TV.
