Season 2 of Tom Hiddleston‘s popular secret agent show, The Night Manager, has received a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score days ahead of its Amazon Prime Video debut. The second season of the acclaimed series, which has already started its broadcast in the United Kingdom via BBC One and BBC iPlayer, arrives on screens 10 years after the first ended.
The Night Manager Season 2 reviews lead to a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score
The Night Manager Season 2 has earned a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The score is notably higher than the one received by Season 1, which is certified fresh at 91%. The first season also has an audience score of 89%, while the series overall currently has a 95% critical score and an 89% audience score.
Meanwhile, on Metacritic, Season 2 has a metascore of 76, which indicates “generally favorable” reviews.
Metro‘s Sabrina Barr wrote in her review that Season 2 doesn’t waste time bringing viewers up to speed on the story. She added, “It feels real and tangible, unlike many other action dramas on streamers today.”
BBC‘s Caryn James wrote in her review that while Season 2 has “a few clumsy missteps,” it is nonetheless “as enticing as” Tom Hiddleston’s protagonist, Jonathan Pine. She also praised Babylon star Diego Calva’s antagonist Teddy Dos Santos, calling him “magnetic.”
Digital Spy‘s David Opie wrote that Season 2 builds on Season 1’s story, and that late author, John le Carré — who wrote the 1993 novel the series is based on — may have approve. He added, “Throw in some extra sex appeal, plus more gorgeous locations (shot by BAFTA-winning director Georgi Banks-Davies), and you’ve got yourself a follow-up worth savouring.”
The Night Manager Season 2 starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video worldwide on January 11, 2026. David Farr, known for shows like Hanna and McMafia, created the series.
Besides Hiddleston and Calva, The Night Manager Season 2 also stars Olivia Colman, Camila Morrone, Indira Verma, Paul Chahidi, Hayley Squires, Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe.
