AC/DC rhythm guitarist Stevie Young has been hospitalized in Buenos Aires ahead of the legendary rock act’s shows in the Argentina city next week. However, he is not expected to miss any of the band’s upcoming concerts.
A spokesperson for AC/DC told Reuters, “Out of an abundance of caution, he was admitted to a local hospital where he is undergoing a full battery of tests. Stevie is doing well and is in good spirits. He is looking forward to getting on stage on Monday.”

Stevie Young took over for his uncle Malcolm Young as AC/DC’s rhythm guitarist when the latter was suffering from dementia, and eventually assumed a permanent role in the band when Malcolm passed away in 2017. The rest of the current lineup is rounded out by lead guitarist Angus Young, singer Brian Johnson, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney.

AC/DC are set to play Buenos Aires’ Monumental Stadium on March 23rd, 27th, and 31st, as well as April 11th and 15th, with a show in Mexico City set for April 7th.
