Most Oscar Best Actor contenders don’t need to disprove rumors that they’re secretly a British rap artist. Timothée Chalamet, though, is full of surprises — and bars. The Marty Supreme star has just posted “4 Raws Remix,” a new video collaboration with EsDeeKid, following after weeks of rumors that Chalamet was secretly the Liverpudian rapper.
EsDeeKid performs with his face concealed, but similarities in their body type and their eye shape caused the speculation that he was actually a Chalamet musical side project. It wasn’t a totally implausible theory — Chalamet, like many people his age, has a few YouTube videos out there featuring his adolescent efforts at rap.
The new collaboration aims to prove that the two men are separate individuals, except that while Chalamet pulls down a bandana to reveal his face during the video, EsDeeKid does remain concealed — meaning that conspiracy theorists can continue to speculate about the possibility of a stand-in being involved. It’s definitely Chalamet rapping in “4 Raws Remix,” though, while plugging Marty Supreme and referencing girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
