It might not feel like it, but spring is just around the corner, and whilst it might be hard to believe, warmer days, more sunlight and the renewed will to step outside are only a few more dreary weeks away. To get me in the springtime spirit I’m retiring my warm coats a little early in favour of a new-season jacket trend that brings versatility, a classic twist and an undeniably chic finish to every outfit.
Whilst the cropped trench coat has been lying dormant for a few seasons, outshone by its eternally stylish, longer-hemmed sister, this season, fashion people are reassessing their wardrobes with an eye for fresh silhouettes and easy-to-style staples. What’s more, the term “cropped trench coat” is suddenly spiking in Google searches, so there’s clearly a broader appetite.
