What happens in the Focker-In-Law trailer?

The trailer introduces Olivia Jones, the girlfriend of Henry Focker, Greg and Pam’s son. While the pair are a happy couple, Olivia is no-nonsense, and reveals that her past as an FBI hostage negotiator means she’s perfectly equipped to “free” Henry from being held “emotionally hostage.” This upsets Greg Focker, but causes Jack Byrnes to like her, and want her invited into the circle of trust.

Focker-In-Law will be directed by John Hamburg, who wrote Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers. Several stars from the original films will be reprising their roles from the original movie, including De Niro as Jack Byrnes, Stiller as Gaylord “Greg” Focker, Blythe Danner as Dina Byrnes, Teri Polo as Pam Byrnes Focker, and Owen Wilson as Kevin Rawley. Ariana Grande stars in the movie as Olivia Jones, and the rest of the cast features Skyler Gisondo as Henry Focker, beanie Feldstein as Samantha Focker, and Eduardo Franco.

Focker In-Law will be released in United States theaters on November 25, 2026, from Universal Pictures. Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, and Little Fockers, meanwhile, are all available to rent or purchase on digital outlets such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and more.

The Meet the Parents franchise began in 2000 with the Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro-starring movie directed by Jay Roach. That has been followed by two sequels — 2004’s Meet the Fockers and 2010’s Little Fockers.
