A whole new generation will soon be introduced to the life of Paris Hilton thanks to A24, which is adapting the socialite’s memoir into a television series.
Details about the series are being kept under wraps, but Hilton herself will executive produce the adaptation alongside her 11:11 Media co-founder Bruce Gersh. Elle and Dakota Fanning will also produce via their company Lewellen Pictures, as will Brittany Kahan Ward and David Bernad.
Hilton released her latest book, Paris: The Memoir, back in March. According to the model and media personality-turned-businesswoman, the memoir allowed her to peel back the curtain on her bimbo facade for the first time and detail the troubled childhood the real Paris was running from.
“The character I played — part Lucy, part Marilyn — was my steel-plated armor,” Hilton said in a statement. “People loved her. Or they loved to hate her, which was just as marketable. I leaned into that character, my ticket to financial freedom and a safe place to hide. I made sure I never had a quiet moment to figure out who I was without her. I was afraid of that moment because I didn’t know what I’d find.”
Over a decade removed from The Simple Life, and now a mother, Hilton has reinvented herself in the public eye. She’s still got some pretty famous friends, though: Last year, she opted to DJ at Britney Spears’ wedding instead of performing for President Biden. She also enlisted Kim Petras for a new version of her 2006 hit “Stars Are Blind.”
