Parklife headliner Fisher pulls out of next weekend’s festival due to “little unborn human”

Fisher has pulled out of his headlining slot for Parklife Festival due to his partner’s pregnancy and the hiccups they have been experiencing.

The Australian music producer and DJ shared a statement explaining that he has had to pull out of the Mancunian music festival due to his partner Chloe’s pregnancy and how uncertain her due date has become. He was slated to perform with Chris Lake and headline the Hangar stage on Sunday (June 9).

“Due to personal reasons, Fisher will no longer be able to perform at this year’s Parklife. Speaking about this, Fisher said: ‘I wanted to share an update about my upcoming show at Parklife. Chloe’s due date isn’t until later in June so I had all the intention on making Parklife (and all the other shows I’ve had to miss). However, this little unborn human has other plans.”

He continued: “We’ve had a few minor hiccups in the past few weeks and our [doctor] has recommended I stay close to home and be with Chloe during these times of uncertainty.”

Fisher has previously pulled out of various other shows due to the hiccups with his partner’s pregnancy. He stepped down from his Hï Ibiza residency and passed over the reigns to Patrick Topping from June 19 throughout July 10.

He also postponed his New York headlining dates which were supposed to take place earlier this month for July 5 and 6 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Parklife festival is due to take place at Heaton Park in Manchester on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9. Find any remaining tickets here.

Doja Cat and Disclosure are set to headline, with other acts including J Hus, Sugababes, Becky Hill, Anne-Marie, Rudimental, CamelPhat, Nia Archives, Four Tet, Peggy Gou, Mahalia, Ella Henderson, Skream, Sub Focus and Digga D.

Last year’s Parklife was headlined by The 1975, Aitch and The Prodigy. Reviewing the event, NME wrote: “An eclectic bill, and a tendency to surprise, are key features of Parklife.”
