A new Adonis has been crowned: Patrick Dempsey has been named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2023.
The reveal was announced on Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with the former Grey’s Anatomy star graciously accepting the title during an appearance on the ABC late-night show. Dempsey’s brand-new People magazine cover was also revealed during Tuesday’s show. (Watch video below.)
Dempsey follows in the footsteps of Chris Evans, who was named Sexiest Man Alive by People last year. Before Evans, Paul Rudd and Michael B. Jordan took the crown in the two previous years, respectively, with Jordan being announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as well. The Sexiest Man Alive title has been handed out by People since 1985, with luminaries like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Harrison Ford among the former winners.
