Dogs For Our Brave (DFOB) – Providing Service and Companion Dogs At NO COST To Veterans With Special Needs

Video of the Day

Dogs For Our Brave – Providing veterans with special needs with service and companion dogs at no cost.

DFOB Mission: To provide professionally trained service and companion dogs at no cost to veterans who have suffered debilitating injury or illness while in service to our country. Our goal is to use rescue dogs at every opportunity, thus saving lives at once. In order to fully realize our mission without adding financial burden, we also provide a continuum of free support that covers all food, veterinary care, and pharmaceutical for the life of the dog.

Each dog will be trained to do the normal commands (sit, lay, come, stay) in addition each dog will be able to:
– Turn on and off light switches
– Open doors
– Bracing
– Retrieval
– Pulling
– Other commands will be taught to help and special needs tailored to each veteran’s needs

Providing Freedom To Our Veterans: Dogs For Our Brave

No Service Member Is Ever Charged….100% of all costs, including rescue, training, dog food and care, medications and daily care are covered by the program.

We’re making life better for dogs, too. We rescue all of our dogs from shelters and put them through a comprehensive training program before pairing them with our service members. It’s a new life for both the service member and the dog.

How You Can Help:

You help gives us the opportunity to rescue dogs in need, provide them with the proper training and match them with their injured service member.
